WEEK 10

TJ Standerford
Lucas Snethen

 

High School: Humboldt Table Rock Steiner-HTRS

 

Tournament/Dual Name: Class C-1 Districts

 

Accomplishments: Lucas got pins of 1:00, 3:54, and 1:27 en route to his district championship.  TJ had a 2:59 pin, 6-0 decision, and I-D to win his district championship.  They both got their 100th wins earlier in the year.  A GREAT HS career for them both and years of fun watching them!!!!!!  ON TO STATE!!

Week 9

Tyler Schmitt

 

High School: Raymond Central

 

Tournament/Dual Name: Arlington/RC

 

Accomplishments: Compared to most wrestlers Tyler started wrestling late. After moving from NY in the 6th grade it was the first sport this brainy little kid ever tried.  Now a Junior he is ranked 6th by Huskermat and projected to earn 3rd at Districts.  Tyler placed 2nd at the Arlington Invite after a 9-5 loss to Braden McCurdy of Northbend and 3rd at the Raymond Central Invite after a 2-0 loss to Cal Werner of Waverly.

WEEK 8

Bart Miller

 

High School: Valentine

 

Tournament/Dual Name: Ainsworth Invite

 

Accomplishments: After pinning a South Dakota state medalist, Bart recorded his 100th career victory with a 14-0 major decision over 4th ranked Justin Miller of Sargent-Burwell in the Ainsworth Ivite Championship.  Bart was named the meets outstanding wrestler.

WEEK 7

Lucas  Snethen

 

High School: Humboldt Table Rock Steiner-HTRS

 

Tournament/Dual Name: Louisville Invite/Falls City dual

 

Accomplishments: Lucas got an 8-1 dec. in a dual with Falls City on Thursday. Then on Saturday at the Louisville tournament he had 2 pins, of :19, and 2:26, a 9-2 dec., and tech fal, 16-0, to get into the finals.  He pinned Kraeger of WW in 2:46, to win the 195# class and get his 100th WIN. 

WEEK 6

 

Heath Maurer

 

High School: Doniphan-Trumbull

 

Class: C

 

Tournament/Dual Name: Shelton Invite/Wood River Invite

 

Accomplishments: Earned his 100th win at the Wood River Invite Got 1st place at the Wood River Invite, helping the team to get the team title 3 years in a row!

WEEK 5

TJ Standerford

 

High School: Humboldt Table Rock Steiner-HTRS

 

Tournament/Dual Name: Malcolm Invite

 

Accomplishments: won the 220# weight class

5 pins----1:48, 1:44, 2:30, 1:47, 1:35

upped his record to 14-1 on the year.  94 career wins

Tristen Bettenhausen    

 

High School: West Point/Beemer

 

Tournament/Dual Name:  Green Machine Duals at Wisner/ Pilger

 

Accomplishments:  Tristen finish as 1st all dual team at the Green Machine Duals @ 126Lbs.  Tristen bumped up and defeated returning State runner-up, Class B, Joseph Hayek by a score of 11-10.

WEEK 2

Wrestler Name: Brandon French

 

High School: Scribner-Snyder/GACC

 

Tournament/Dual Name: Stanton Invitational

 

Accomplishments: Brandon (a freshman) beat Garrett Bowder of Pender (class D state runner-up and currently rated #1 in Class D) in triple overtime, then lost to Ricky Avila of Madison (class C 5th place state medalist and currently rated #1 in Class C)in overtime in the finals of the 126 lb class at the Stanton Invite. 

 

WEEK 1

High School: Centennial

 

Class: C

 

Tournament/Dual Name: Bob Arehart Invite (Friend)

 

Accomplishments: Went 4-0 at 113 in pool play and defeated Tyler Blevins (Returning State Champ) of Weeping Water in finals 9-4.
