USA Middle School Duals 2012
Danville, Il., March 23, 24 & 25th
Must qualify for the Nebraska USA dual team at the USA folk style state tournament in Grand Island on March 16th, 17th, & 18th, 2012.
Nebraska USA announces its 11th year Danville trip 2012
We will be taking 2 teams again this year. We are going to Danville Illinois. The weight classes for the 7th and 8th grade (at state) are the same as the Danville USA National dual weights (75, 80, 85, 90, 95 102, 110, 117, 125, 132, 140, 150, 160, 175, 195, 220, 275). The dual team is for 7th and 8th graders. We will not be taking 5th or 6th graders as part of this team this year. The 5th and 6th grade can qualify for the Elementary National dual teams (see Elementary dual teams flier). You can not be 16 years old. The lowest weight class this year is 75 lbs. If you want to be on the Nebraska USA Middle School dual team, you must first go to your qualifying NE USA district and place top 4 to go on to State. Then be at the Nebraska USA state tournament and place 1st or 2nd in your weight class. The cost per wrestler is currently $250. This includes all expenses for the weekend: Hotel, charter bus, meals, entry fee, t-shirt, shorts, singlet and warm-up jackets. You get to keep the clothing package. Parents, if you are planning on attending and staying at the same hotel as the wrestling team, you may opt to have your wrestler stay in your hotel room to save on costs. I will deduct $50 off the current cost. All I ask is that the parents stay at the same hotel as the rest of the team for the team bonding, unity and organization of the trip.
All wrestlers should bring some additional cash to buy snacks or event t-shirts if they choose. We do require payment by check to be given at the State Tournament. Please come prepared. The check is to be made out to Nebraska USA Wrestling.
All wrestlers must have a full USA card and must be purchased online at http://www.usawmembership.com/
There are no upgrades form the Nebraska League cards to full USA cards.
I will have approximately 9 extra seats on the charter bus available for parents. The cost for these seats will be $100 per seat. These are on a first come, first serve basis

It is very important to have email and cell phone contact info on all wrestlers/parents that make this team. This will be my main source of contacting and updating info to you. The NE USA Middle school dual team can also be found on facebook. We will have updates there as well. We will only have 5 days in which to prepare for the day of departure. Please be looking for emails and respond with some kind of short message or click on the “return receipt”. This way I know everyone is getting the info.
I have rented a charter bus and have 25 rooms currently reserved at the Hampton Inn and Suites, 370 Eastgate Drive, Danville, IL. 61834, phone 217-442-3300. You must call to secure your room with your own credit card by March 22nd.
We will be having a team practice before we leave on March 22 at 7pm. Practice is at Omaha Skutt wrestling room. We will be handing out gear at the end of practice.
We will be leaving at 8am on March 23th from the Sapp Bros truck stop at the cross roads of Hwy 50 and I-80 at the West end of Omaha.
